Heartsong Studios was started by Gordon Young in the mountains of Mendocino County in Northern California. The business is completely off-the-grid and all electric tools and lights are powered by a 40-solar-panel array on top of the nearest hill. During the winter months when it is often not light enough, we have a hydroelectric system.
